Big Bang Science Fair
Beth is very good at finding out about interesting events long enough in advance that we can get tickets for them. One such of these was the Big Bang Fair in London's ExCeL, which ran from the 10th to the 12th of March (although the first two days were intended for school groups). It was a free event, with many, many stalls one two floors of the exhibition centre, ranging from large organisations like Shell and IBM to individual schools' exhibits.
We spent the whole day there, breaking off briefly to watch Brainiac Live - an utterly explosive (and generally very, very loud!) stage show with lots of yellow t-shirts, shouting and general idiocy... just like the TV programme - but there really was so much to see that we couldn't fit it all in before the event closed at 4pm.
The children had many highlights - I took the liberty of bringing the Flip camera with us, and they recorded their thoughts, during and after the event. I shall close with a link to a YouTube video that sums it up in their words!
