Door
I've taken it upon myself to try and get things done this year; the lure of Facebook and Twitter are difficult to resist (especially when they represent the main way I interact socially with friends and family!) but I'm using post-it notes to try and remind me of my particular targets for the day.
I'm aware that there are lots of Getting Things Done methods and computer applications, but for me, pens and bits of brightly coloured paper are quick and easy ways for me to keep track of what needs doing.
This week's been a bit of a mixed one, since I had another training course to go to on Thursday and Friday, and precious little time to prepare, since work's been busy. It's not stopped me (and, indeed, Eleanor!) wanting to get on with the work at hand, though, and by teatime yesterday, we had stripped the paint off all the visible door frame and about a sixth of the door itself!
There's plenty more to do before we get to the fun painting bit, but it's a start.. and I feel that January has been fairly well employed so far.
The best news (in its way!) is that Beth has an appointment at the Royal London hospital on Thursday afternoon; I'm praying that progress will be swift after she has spoken to the specialist consultant surgeon, especially since we've had to wait so long to reach this stage, and the condition has definitely deteriorated. I'm sure I'll have more on this (certainly in my tweets) as the weeks go by - and hopefully some good news soon!
I'll leave you with some photos of the studio door, which is definitely turning into a labour of love!
