warning: risk of flooding

Another audioblog.. this time about our flooded house. It's not quite as bad as it could have been, but the place now smells of a damp dog, and my studio's out of action for a bit...

Here are some photos of the worst of it... there are more in the gallery.

Wow, although it could have been worse. That nail looks a bit dodgy though, was that just below that mains supply then?

Oh nooooo-
And here you thought this would be the year for DIY improvements in the garden... I hope insurance comes through in a big way. (Though maybe it is better to have discovered the electrical mess this way rather than with a short while you are all snug in your beds.) Please give Eleanor a big hug from me-I also inadvertently caused scenes of devastation at that age and I know how it feels.

As the great Homer once said D O H ! ! !

At least no-one was hurt and possessions can be replaced and re-built (Just hope the insurance pays out in a timely manner).

I just need to finish re-tiling / plumbing Paul and Dawn's bathroom then I shall clear my DIY calendar for the summer so give me a shout when you need me peeps. You never know, I may even get round to putting up those new cabinets in the guest area now I have sorted my house stuff out ;o) (assuming they were not also damaged :S )

I am sure we can re-built it better than it was :D (Nice 32 HDMI Screen for the studio PC? LOL)
