Into 2004...
It's been a busy Christmas period - that's my excuse for not updating my blog recently!
The early part of December went by extremely quickly.. I attended a course in Loughborough for four days, and, having booked the week before Christmas off work, I only had one working day before the festive break.
Then Pete, my older brother, came to stay for a few days, after his return from India. In the meantime, Christopher had his Pre-school performance (in which he was selected to play Joseph - see the photos in the next entry) we finally got round to putting the Christmas tree up, and took a trip to the South Coast to see my mother.. it's been so difficult to keep track of the goings-on!
In spite of the fact that I've had all this time off work, I've not really been able to focus my attention on anything - musical or otherwise. In fact, I'll admit to having played computer games (my preferences being the much-admired, yet sinister Deus Ex, the exhilerating Unreal Tournament and, inspired to do so by Pete, the original run-about and fight Doom - all on a similar theme, it's safe to say!) as they don't require too much brain power..
So now we're in 2004. Our family resolution this year is "Be happy with what we have" - because of my job situation, I'm not going to be able to do any overtime, and I'll be working 5 day weeks, so finances might be a little tighter than we're used to. Still, it's good discipline, as we won't take for granted the wonderful things we have.
Happy new year - I hope it brings everything you could want.
